Never Again Make These 4 Bumbling Mistakes
I proudly introduce today’s guest blogger, Juli Palmer, the owner of JuliVAglobal and she specializes in social media graphic design, WordPress and autoresponder maintenance. Today, she is sharing 4 bumbling mistakes to avoid all from a recovering entrepreneur.
We recently met through a Facebook group for bloggers. Today, Juli will share mistakes that she has learned from being an entrepreneur herself. I think we can all relate to this post, when we take on too much, or not ask for help or not taking the time to learn new ideas. She also shares the importance of surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals.
If this goes well, I am thinking of adding a new segment to Everything’s Coming Up Rosie. one where I share entrepreneur tips with you.
I hope you enjoy this post, as much as I did!
Learn From a Recovering Entrepreneur
Do you have numerous tasks to cover in your business on a daily basis?
Are you actively marketing your business, building your list, engaging on social media? These are on a mile long to-do list that you have to complete in just 24 hours!
Why didn’t they tell you that running a business online will double the amount of time running one in the real world!
My name is Juli, and I am barely a recovering entrepreneur but I wanted to let you know that you can avoid these bumbling mistakes in your business, no matter what stage of business you are in.
4 Bumbling Mistakes to Avoid
Mistake# 1: Not Surrounding Yourself With Like-Minded Individuals
Surround yourself with other persons who have gone through your path
No matter at what stage of your business you are in, you will never know everything.
Don’t make the mistake of trying to do things in trial and error.
If you realize that each time you are feeling overwhelmed and not sure where you should be going, you need to align yourself with someone who walked the path before you.
There are people who are out there who can share their knowledge and expertise on what to do moving forward. You do not have to do it alone.
Mistake #2: Not Out-Sourcing
Now you know very well that you are tackling those social media posts in your business. You are also a DIY designer on the side and yet you still have not managed to complete half of that to do list.
Smart entrepreneurs know that it makes no sense to wear a one-woman hat and do EVERYTHING!
Start by making a list of tasks that are taking you away from your business and start researching and reaching out to those persons who can help you grow your business.
Some of these arduous tasks can be outsourced. Hire an assistant to be responsible for growing your list, managing your social media account, just to name a few of the tasks. It’s your business so you will know what to outsource when the time comes along.
Mistake# 3: Not Taking the Time to Learn
Have you been offering the same service for about two years now? You have clients but it’s like there is still something missing to increase that clientele? Not because you are offering service “A” means that it has to be your one and only signature service forever.
It’s possible you can reach a larger number of people if you learn more of what’s happening in your industry and understand what your market wants. From your research, you add another service or perform a survey to see how your audience will respond to this new service.
Mistake #4: Stopped Marketing Your Business
Now if you are like me and you have a vast increase of clients, you might very well stop marketing because you are overwhelmed as it is with clients.
But don’t make this mistake of not putting your business out there when you have a busy week or a slow week.
The key here is you may never know when someone might need your service in the near future. So never stop marketing!
Stop Being A One-Woman Entrepreneur
As entrepreneurs, you know there are numerous tasks to cover in your business on a daily basis.
You do not want to be continually making the same mistakes of trying to do it alone and not letting others know about your business.
Learn from these 4 bumbling mistakes and use the above best practices while growing your business!
