About Me

Hi, I’m Rosie Digout – author of this new blog “Dreaming from PEI”. I’m a single mom living in Prince Edward island (PEI), trying to start a business and may be in the long run looking for love. In short, I have a dream. A dream of a life being financially sound, respectful and loving daughters, and enjoying a life that has meaning. This blog is a reflection of me and my journey through life.

Why the Blog Name?

Walt Disney was a high school dropout who suffered several business disasters and bankruptcy.  He overcame his personal and financial challenges by using his imagination to create an entertainment empire that has touched the hearts, minds and emotions of all of us.

I think it brings hope to those who have a dream to do something but, for one reason or another do not dare to do. You spend many sleepless nights, you’re restless and do not think about anything else. But the day comes when you wake up and say, why not? Why not at least try?

Open to New Opportunities

Earlier this year, I sent a message out to the universe that I was open to new opportunities. It didn’t mean that I’d partake in each opportunity that was presented but I would at least be open to it. To date,I’ve been involved in so many new things and the more I try new things, the more new opportunities that keep presenting itself.

In Mary Oliver’s poem “When Death Comes” she writes

“When it is over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.”

I believe that life is full of choices. I can choose to be happy or unhappy. I can choose to be selfish or unselfish. Every day I choose to work towards my dream. Truth be told, I’m looking forward to starting this new chapter of my life.

Dream and do!
