Get To Know Me! 21 Questions Tag

Hello Reader(s),

How’s your weekend going?

It’s Father’s Day weekend here in Canada.  Do you have any plans to celebrate the important men in your life?

Tomorrow, I will be spending time with my parents and making them dinner. I am thinking cabbage rolls but no idea what to pair it with. Any ideas?

READMood Board – Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Since I’ve been away most of this week for a work conference, I am looking forward to chilling with my parents for a bit.I never thought that there would come a time, that I actually am happy that I live so close to them.

Back to my blog and why I am writing and then sharing with you today!I’ve seen lots of YouTube videos of vloggers answering questions that viewers send in. I thought that I would join in on the fun! I’m not ready to do a video, but thought I would jot a few questions and answers down!

Today’s post, I will  answer 21 questions about myself. Hope you enjoy!

Today's post, I will answer 21 questions about myself. Hope you enjoy! via

Here we go…

  1. Are you named after anyone?

My real name is Rosemary and not Rosie. I was named after my mom’s best friend at the time.

    2. When was the last time you cried?

Goodness, I can be an emotional person. I would say it would be within the last month. I can’t think of a specific time right now.

  1. Do you have kids?

I have two beautiful daughters and they are 16 and 11 years old. They  are certainly night and day. Their personalities are complete opposites.

  1. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

Totally! I can be quite clumsy and awkward, which then leads to laughing at myself. Nothing better than humour to lighten a situation.

  1. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

ummm…no?! Unfortunately, this is a trait that I have passed on to both of my girls.

  1. Will you ever bungee jump?

Not a chance! Surprisingly enough, skydiving is on my bucket list.

  1. What’s your favorite cereal?

Being lactose intolerant, I stay away from cereal. However, I do love eating oatmeal, especially with fruit, flax seeds, and brown sugar in it.

  1. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Smile! Everyone looks beautiful when they smile.

  1. What is your eye colour?

  1. Scary movie or happy endings?

Depends on what you call a scary movie. I prefer thrillers over happy endings. I’d rather a suspenseful movie that I am not able to figure out the plot line. Happy endings are just that…predictable.

  1. Favorite smells?

Interesting question. Clean sheets, especially if they came in from the laundry line. A guy that is clean and came out of the shower. The smell of rain. Classic, home cooking. Might be a little weird but the smell of newborn babies.

  1. Summer or winter?

Can I say both? There are cons to both seasons. But if I had to choose, it would be summer.

  1. Computer or television?

Computer – I can watch TV on the computer, but not the other way around.

  1. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?

When I lived in Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the farthest that I have been.  PEI is nearly 5000 km from home.

  1. Do you have any special talents?

I do! It’s such an odd talent and it used to freak my younger brothers and sisters out when we were kids. I can turn my eyelids inside out. How I discovered that I could do this, I have no idea.

  1. Where were you born?

A small town, called Lytton, British Columbia, Canada. It’s where the Frasier and Thompson River meet.

  1. What are your hobbies?

Spending time with my family, reading, watching tv, and blogging.

  1. Do you have any pets?

Not yet. My girls have been asking for a pet, preference of a dog is probably number one. I find we’re so busy, it would make it difficult to take care of a pet.

  1. Favorite movie?

It would be so difficult to name just one favourite movie. I’ll tell you a few: Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Se7en, Casablanca, It’s a Wonderful Life, Fight Club. Just realized that some of them are quite gruesome. Does that say something about me?

  1. Do you have any siblings?

I sure do! I am the oldest of 6 children. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

  1. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Successful! That includes both my professional and personal lives.

I think that’s the end of it!

I tag anyone who hasn’t done this and who wants to do it 🙂

  1. I love blog challenges like these – they’re quite addictive, I find! You’re braver than me on the bungee / skydiving front, just thinking about it is enough to send me into a cold sweat! #weekendblogshare

I climbed a 50 foot inflatable water slide last weekend at the 5km foam fest run. I might now reconsider the skydiving. Yikes!

  2. Love The Princess Bride! Have you read the book?

My friend used to do the eye lid thing, it was his party trick for years. I just have comedy squeaky eyes when I rub them.

16 and 11 sounds….challenging. My daughters are three years part so the pre-teen
    / teen years I’m dreading!

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the great comments! I haven’t read the book yet, but it took a long time for my girls to sit and watch the movie. They didn’t understand the humour and thought it was old. LOL
Pre-teens…all I can say is that I feel for you. Being a single mom, my girls and I try to be open as much as possible. I am truly blessed to have such fantastic kids.
