Share Your Story Tiffany

Hi Tiffany, please tell us a little about yourself and maybe something most people would not know about you?

I’m extroverted, a natural redhead, live in one of the fastest growing cities right now, Portland. I love to bake but not cook. I love bright colors and am not into pastels and I really enjoy being creative and inspiring others to be too.  One thing most people wouldn’t know about me is I have energy for days. From the moment I wake up, I’m on the go. My friend has nicknamed me Little Hummer because I have so much energy and walk really fast. I remind her of a hummingbird.

When and how did Fizzy Party come about?

Fizzy Party started 5 years ago out of my love of hosting parties and sharing those parties  with friends.  I had friends telling me I was inspiring them to do a little more than just throw a bag of chips on the table when they had people over. I really loved that I was inspiring people who aren’t normally creative to be creative and I wanted to get even more people inspired.

Where do you get your party ideas from?

I know so many creative people say this but it’s really true, my inspiration for parties comes from everywhere. A picture I see in a magazine, fabric, a single item I see at a store.  I never know when the party inspiration will hit. I,of course, have notepads everywhere to jot down the ideas when they do hit me.

Do you have any specific goals for Fizzy Party for the rest of this year? If so, what are they?

Oh yes. I always have goals for Fizzy Party. For the rest of 2016,  my goal is to get my party timeline for 2017 sketched out. When you’re a party blogger/stylist you can’t do Valentine’s party in February. You need to do it a minimum of a month in advance so you can get it out there for people to see and for them to have time to shop and create from your party look.

What is your number one party planning tip for someone planning their first party?

Relax. Seriously, I think people stress too much and put too much pressure on themselves.  Your party doesn’t have to be perfect for people to have fun. Your house doesn’t have to look magazine cover ready and take-out is just fine.

Random question. Cats or dogs?

Cats. I love their layered personality.

What is one of your blogging achievements you are most proud of?

I would have to say I am most of proud of getting my Ghouls Night Out party featured on Mingle magazine when I had only been blogging for about 3 years.  I love magazines, I’m constantly buying them so to have one of my parties featured in a magazine on store shelves was exciting.

What has been the most shared party idea on social media?

Pineapples, flamingos, and unicorns coming up fast behind those two.

Which is your favourite type of party to plan?

I’d love to say holiday parties but really it’s my birthday.  So many people don’t celebrate their birthdays and why not! With holiday parties the stores are full of items you can use. Makes planning them easy. With my birthday parties I have to be more creative.  I change the theme every year and my friends love it. It’s a great way to spend my birthday, being creative and surrounded by my friends.

What trends can we expect to see in 2017 in the party world?

Move over flamingos, swan will be taking over 2017.  We’ll be seeing a lot of navy too.

Fill in the blank. Happiness is…

spending time with family and friends.

Anything else you’d like to share with us?

Look for more events hosted by me in 2017.  I’m hoping to bring Fizzy Party Trop Fest to Texas and a few other cities too.

  1. It so good to meet you outside of our Sits Girls’ chats! What an awesome fun job you have, planning parties for a living and you’re an extrovert, so it doesn’t drain your energy. I might have to call on your expertise sometime. 😉
