New Ideas

As I mentioned last June, there has been a huge overhaul on Everything’s Coming Up Rosie. Today, I’ll be sharing July projects and blogs posts that I had been working on. As well, what has worked for me and what needs improvement.

In last month’s post, I had mentioned that I would post about the plugins that I have been trying out on this site. I feel that I am not quite ready to discuss it yet as I am still playing around with them. Hopefully, I can post it later this month.

I’ve also spent some time, working on the Everything’s Coming Up Rosie Pinterest account. Finally figured out how to enable rich pins. Since then, have found an increase in traffic to my site.

By the way, are you following Everything’s Coming Up Rosie on Pinterest? I share tons of tips for bloggers and entrepreneurs, plus general Pinterest pretty-ness.

You may have noticed that I have blogged less this month. This re-branding process takes quite a bit of time. More time than I expected.  Although I posted less ,I had twice the traffic to my site. Weird right?! But excited, that I’m building a community of engaged visitors that I like to call friends.

I’ve also been working on SEO, which stands for search engine optimization. SEO is the process of “adjusting” your website to help it appear ia higher position in search engine results, enhancing its traffic and visibility. In short, it’s a practice designed to help your potential customers find your website easily while they are searching for products, services, and information regarding your company or the market you operate in.

Sounds complicated, right? I’m always up for a challenge! According to other bloggers that I have talked with recently, they are learning this topic too. It’s been an excellent opportunity to learn from other bloggers that have a lot more experience than I do.

Personal Life

All this talk about blogging and I haven’t mentioned what’s happening in my personal life!

For those that are new to ECURosie, this past school year my daughters were living with their dad in Prince Edward Island, Canada. On the other side of the country. We have 50/50 shared custody, which means they spend one year with their dad and one year here in Alberta.

If you’ve ever had to do long-distance parenting, you know that this is not an easy feat. This past year has been a struggle for both myself and my daughters. It’s been the longest time that we have ever been apart.  But, I’m  so happy that they are back home with me again. We have been making up lost time since they arrived earlier this month.

What’s Coming Up

I’ll be contacting a few bloggers to feature them in my next “Fierce Friday” segment. I still think it’s important to showcase people that have faced struggles in their personal or professional life. It’s not about their struggles rather how they decided to move past it. After all, all the best heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.

  1. Well done Rosie. I have so much background work to do on my blog and just no time to do it. I’m just accepting it for now! How you cope for a year without your daughters I do not know. Well done for staying strong for them but it must be so very hard for you and them. Thanks for joining the #weekendblogshare

I love seeing progress and you are having it in spades! Yeah! Fierce Friday is going to be one of my favorite series, I can’t wait to see the pieces, I love triumph! I am so excited to be in your top referrers again this month. Creating community is the most rewarding part of blogging and I’m so happy we are in this together. Congrats on having your daughters with you, nothing better, is there? I saw the photos of them coming home on Social Media, it made me smile! I know you are loving it!

  3. Very cool. I see Google brings you more traffic than WP. That happens from day today for me but usually it’s Google in second place. Greats stats and good luck with the rebranding!
