Best Articles from October & Plans for November

“In November, the trees are standing all sticks and bones. Without their leaves, how lovely they are, spreading their arms like dancers. They know it is time to be still.”
― Cynthia Rylant,
November is that time of year where the autumn season is starting to come to an end. And we know that winter and the holiday season is just around the corner.  This month also brings an end to Day Light Savings, which means that we all get an extra hour of sleep! Can anyone argue with that? For some, November also brings Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Finally, who can forget Movember?! The month, our men do not shave their mustache in support of men’s health.

Today’s post I am sharing what’s happened over the last month and what’s coming up in November.

A Few Highlights

  • #FierceFridays continue to be one of the most-talked about series on my blog! I am over-the-moon on how popular this is for both men and women. Interested in being interviewed? Message me, I would love to have you!
  • A few weeks ago, I sent out my first newsletter. My email list is small but so far, no has unsubscribed! I will take that as a win.
  • I am a co-host of a weekly link up called “Social Media Bast”. Nikki from A View from in Here oversees this gem. Each week, you can add your social media profile to the link party. At the same time, find some other awesome bloggers to follow. It’s all about community over competition. As bloggers, we need to stick together instead of competing with one another.
  • I was interviewed by Dara from “like Sara…but with a d” for her new “Blogger Starshine” series over at her blog  You can find my interview here.

Blog Traffic

My page views are a little low this month. I believe it’s because I had the flu for a week and was not online at all. I anticipate that November will be similar to September’s stats.

Blog Traffic Sources

I was quite surprised to see that Pinterest was the second largest traffic source to my blog. This past month, I have joined a few Facebook support groups for bloggers. In these groups we can share our posts, share other bloggers posts and even ask questions that we may have about blogging. The few that I am in have been really helpful.

Upcoming in November

I don’t have a lot planned for November.

I was hoping to have my first contest on the go but perhaps in this next couple of weeks as I am still working on my services page.

Social Media Blast will continue to go live each Thursday at 7pm (mountain time), don’t forget to come and link up each week.

If you’re interested in being interviewed for #FierceFridays, please contact me. Would love to share your story.

Otherwise, I appreciate each one of you. This blog would not be successful without my readers. I am always amazed how well this site is doing. I love reading your comments and how you’re able to learn something new from my posts. Please keep commenting, as I do read each comment.

Thank you again!

I love your #fiercefriday series, I learn so much from those that you interview, it’s like a lightbulb moment when I read how others do things. I am going over to check out your interview on Dara’s blog, congrats!! How cool. Love everything you do to share yourself and your knowledge with the rest of us, that is so invaluable!

    • Thanks, Nikki. I try and be as transparent and authentic as I can be. I am happy to hear that you enjoy the #FierceFriday segments as much as I do! Each week, it\s always interesting to hear what women have gone through, their life lessons and at the same time, I can learn from their experiences.

  2. Congrats on your blog growth. I haven’t tracked my blog traffic, which I guess is something I should do. I just get bummed that my traffic is nowhere near what I think it should be. It’s also a bummer when your numbers are NOWHERE near what companies want for their campaigns. 🙁 But slow and steady wins the race…. right?

    • Slow and steady does indeed win the race. And remember, your blog is still growing. In addition, I believe that as long as you have a small engaging audience, that’s better than just sullen or detached stats.

  3. Hi Rosie: I am following your blog closely. I am not looking at my stat numbers yet, but congratulations on your blog views. Getting a mail system going is my biggest challenge for the next while. I did add links to the other influencers you mentioned on your blog besides Thanks for the post. Looking forward to Friday.
