Looking Back on August

August proved to be another productive month for me. August was filled with spending time with family and friends, swimming, soccer tournaments, bbq’s, watching Big Brother and now getting ready for back-to-school. But first, in this post, I’ll be sharing highlights from the month of August, top posts from August and what’s coming up for September.

I spent a day brainstorming new blog segments and would you believe that I came up with a year’s worth of blog post ideas? I was on a roll! Next week, I will tell you how I came with so many post ideas.

The last couple of months, I have been talking about a segment that I called “Fierce Friday“. It’s really a way for me to interview bloggers/authors and how they overcame adversities and how we can learn from their stories. I finally spent a half hour and contacted  6 bloggers/entrepreneurs and was pleasantly surprised when they all agreed to participate. It totally blew me away! Click here to read my first Fierce Friday interview.

What’s Coming Up for September

As I mentioned earlier, I spent a day brainstorming new ideas for this blog. I reviewed past posts to see what was working, what wasn’t working and what needed improvement. I can’t wait to share with my results!

My goal for this site is to inspire, encourage and empower others to create change in their lives. Whether that means a change in their blog, change in emotional well-being or wanting to start their own business. My wish is to take a holistic approach and ensure that each post will either meet a person’s emotional needs,  improve time management needs or perhaps be there to inspire new ideas.

With that in mind, this helped me identify which segments to keep and let go of ones that were not working. Going forth, I’ll remain writing motivational posts, blogging tips, if we were having coffee, Instagram roundups, and posts to improve our productivity.

New blog segments will include the following: 3 things to try this month, weekly Fierce Friday Interviews, and mood boards that will all relate to having the best office space.

Next week, I’ll share how I how I came up with a year’s worth of blog topics. Until then, message me if you there is something you’d think would be a great topic!

    • Hi Kristy, thanks for the comments. I think I got the idea of sharing top posts from another blogger. I like it as it gives new readers a chance to take a look at old posts. 🙂
