7 Steps for Creating the Life YOU Want

Imagine a Different Life

How often have you heard  family, friends or co-workers complain about where they are in life? I know that I can put myself in that category at times too.

Or how many times have we envied another person’s success? We wish that we could have what they have in their life. More often than not, the thing we envy is materialistic.

What Stops Us

And yet, we allow the fear of the unknown to override our willingness to try. We sit and watch as others catapult themselves to a state of joy, happiness, and peace while we continue to want.

Either that, we point fingers at anyone and everything about why we are not where we want to be. Seriously!

Common excuses are: I don’t have enough time, I’m too busy, I don’t have enough money, yadda yadda yadda. . .

See where I am going?

But, what if I told you that life is meant to be lived?

In the midst of everything, we forget that life is full of choices.

We can CHOOSE what kind of life we want.

It is here for the taking and we really can be all that we have dreamed of. We must see our dreams and walk them out.

What is the worst thing that can happen?  Our plan did not work out as we would have liked?

So agree with you Rosie, I’ve always loved his books. We control of the outcome of our lives. It’s up to us to make it work and we can only do that when we start focusing on what we want and honestly believe that we can.

Since our lives changed so drastically in the last several years we’ve had to readjust. Our priorities become very clear when there is a crisis. And it’s been one big long crisis. But not all of it has been bad, we realize how much we love each other, that family comes first, we need to live with the choices we make and that we are the only ones who can really make things better. When the outside world isn’t weighing in on the decisions you can truly get to the nitty gritty. We got a crash course in creating and defining the life we want. Now we’re just working on getting there. Great info-graphic, I should tattoo it on my arm!

    • Let me know what you think! I had a conversation with someone last night about how we all make choices, even when we think it’s something that we “have to do”, it’s always a choice. Thanks for stopping by!

    • I think many of us are like that Sarah, myself included. Sometimes, I feel there are so many possibilities, it’s hard to focus on one. But, if I really look at it there is one that floats to the top more than the others and that’s what I focus on. 🙂

    • You’re so right, Leanna! One of the most valuable tools I have learned is the power of envisioning. But when you try to envision how you want your life to be, you only see the positive. Your mind is free to fantasize about anything you want.
